Project Description

Wellington Institute of Technology needed to carry out an online marketing campaign for student recruitment. Eden Design provided art direction and design for their online Careers Quiz, including online advertising and email marketing.

The Objective:

Communicate WelTec’s practical and hands-on approach to learning for youth whilst communicating smartness and education. Hint to the range of subjects and higher qualification levels on offer.

The Idea:

The wealth of learning with WelTec is fun, practical, and diverse for young people.

The Solution:

A strongly visual approach was decided. Vibrant graphics represent broad subject matters. They are playful and youthful through their colourful range and grunge treatment, whilst retaining a smart and educational air.

Web Genius was recently contracted to carry out the online marketing component of a student recruitment campaign for the Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec), including social media, online advertising and email marketing. Hannah Faulke of Eden Design acted as art director and designer for the project and the quality of the results speak for themselves. In her usual style, Hannah took the time early in the project to clearly understand WelTec's positioning, their objectives for the campaign, as well as the characteristics and mindset of the target market. She then produced visuals for the web pages, email layouts and banner ads which were not only very impressive visually, but accurately reflected the project brief and required very little fine-tuning. If you are looking for a graphic designer or art director who will quickly get to the grips of a brief - both strategically and creatively - then I would highly recommend Hannah Faulke of Eden Design.

In the various businesses I have run over the past 20 years, I have personally employed more than 30 graphic designers of varying levels of expertise and experience, so I would say I know a good one when I see one. Hannah Faulke is a good one. Even though she is near the beginning of her career, she is already well ahead of many with decades of experience. She has an excellent appreciation that her primary role is to add value to her clients businesses, rather than just to create pretty pictures. She is able to quickly gain a sense of the client's business and communication objectives, and then use her considerable design talent and skills to create a solution which clearly communicates the client's key messages at the same time as presenting them in the best possible light.
